Working Professional, Single Mom, once again...

Granted, child-rearing started quite early for me, my two older children are 18 and soon to be 15.  I decided later in life to have two children with my ex-fiancee of six years.  Our daughters are now 1 and 2, and he is out of the picture.  My earlier years, my poor choices in men could easily be blamed on my young age.  How in my mid thirties, why am I still latching on to losers?  Am I a control freak, do I feel I have to have the upper hand in the relationship, a feeling of empowerment?  Questions I have to find answers to quick, as my teenage daughter is soon to be 15, and I know that I need to set an example for her, hopefully it is not too late.
